Grey seal is found from all corners of baltic sea, but hunting is restricted to Åland archipelago and all the way up to Bay of bothnia and recuire special license issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and forestry. The estimated number of grey seal in Finland is 26.000 and few hundred cull licenses are issued yearly. Hunting season for grey seal is from April 16th to 31. December, but due to rough weather conditions out at sea, Finnhunting concentrates on offering seal hunting during summertime.
